An
exceptional soil...
The vineyard is situated on the very stony soil of the southern foothills of Uchaux. The rough and wild clayey-chalky soil was cleared in order to create, in 1970, an estate which extends today on 75 acres. A long preliminary work was necessary before planting, deforestation then removal of rocks brought on the surface the earth favourable to receive the young vine-plants. |

Planting of the grape varieties :

| The vineyard benefits all
around the year from an exceptional sunshine, it is swept by the Mistral
or the southern wind, and therefore it never had to bear spring frosts.
The lauses (flat stones) which characterize this soil contribute to the maturation of the grapes, as they store the heat during the day and give it back at night. In order to take advantage of this, the vineyard is kept low ; therefore, a manual harvest is necessary. The vineyard is situated on the lands which are entitled to the label Côtes du Rhône Villages. |

In order to reach a higher quality of the grapes, we make what is called " green harvest " during the second half of june. This delicate operation consists in removing part of the grapes to get the proper crop. The main benefit is an improved organoleptic quality as well as an optimal maturity which allow us to make exceptional blendings. |

The modern standards of cleanliness and control allow traditional vinification in semi-carbonic maceration which give a nice spicy bouquet (pepper, vanilla, red fruits, etc...) with mellow tannins for an ample stucture.
